2019 Chinese Alumni Volleyball Tournament

After years of success, The Chinese Alumni Volleyball Tournament has become a major event for numerous Chinese alumni associations in Canada. To encourage networking amongst thousands of Chinese alumni living in Canada, the preparation of the 2019 Chinese Alumni Volleyball Tournament hosted by Xidian University Alumni Association of Canada is well underway.

Eligibility:

Any team from a registered Chinese alumni association may participate, up to a maximum of 40 teams.

Team Requirements:

1. Participating players are not subject to any age restrictions. All participants must be recognized by a registered Chinese alumni association and have studied or worked at the respective universities. Each team must have at least one female participant playing on the field at all times.

2. Joint teams may be formed to participate. Each joint team may consist of a maximum of two register Chinese alumni associations.

3. All participants must provide relevant proof of eligibility for review upon request.

4. The tug-of-war competition are not limited to alumni and family members are welcomed to participate. Each team must be consisted of 15 members and at least 5 female players.

Your company’s sponsorship will have a strong and long-lasting community impact：

--This tournament now has a history of four years and is a well-known annual event among various Chinese alumni associations that has a great impact within the Chinese community.

--The Chinese alumni associations has an energetic and ever growing network, and host several events on an annual basis. It currently has over 90 active group members and at least 50,000 individual members. For example:

• Tsinghua Alumni Association of Southern Ontario Canada has over 1,000 active individual members

• Beida Alumni Association of Canada has over 2,000 active individual members in the GTA and approximately 5,000 active individual members in Canada.

• HUST Alumni Association of Toronto has approximately 2,000 active individual members.

--There are 40 teams of about 15 players each participating in this year’s tournament. In addition to the 600 participating players, there will be family and friends attending the event as well and it is expected that there will be a total participants of 800 to 1,000.

--The official website of the competition is already up and running, and will retain the relevant content of this event to promote all sponsorship information indefinitely. All relevant content as well as sponsorship advertisement will be promoted through various channels including the various Chinese alumni association websites, the alumni group of colleges and universities WeChat group, the alumni associations WeChat group, and other related websites and news media.
